Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Betty. She was such a kind and lovely lady and I’m sure you all have many good memories of her.

Betty and Jack, Bill and Jude, were “just down the road from us in the 60’s !!! Once Friends…Always Friends. Our doors are always open. May God Bless.

Dear Bill and Judy:

We would like to express our condolences to you and your families with the passing of your mom. Your mom was so special to us. When we and our young family moved to Cochrane, your mom was one of the first persons to welcome us. During our sixteen years living and teaching in Cochrane and raising our six girls, your mom was always interested in our lives, and was always so kind and considerate. You may remember we were invited to your home for a Sunday meal a number of times. With six small children, being given the opportunity to get out was a real treat. We know you have lots of family around you. It is so wonderful that your children had Betty in their lives. Her legacy lives on. Please pass on our wishes to the Chalack and Hawkwood clans. Our thoughts are with you today.

Best wishes to you and yours. Perhaps we will meet again in the future at some Cochrane function. If you are ever in Kelowna, we are in the phone book.

As years go by we often think of the people who were very much a part of our growing up years, Your mom always had time for a chat and the smile was never far away.May you keep your memories close the will take you back to another time.

I clearly remember the day in about 1957 that the Bancroft family, Jack, Betty, Bill and Judy, arrived in Frobisher, Saskatchewan, with Gramma Hawkwood in search of her Middleton cousins. Bill and I have reminisced that day a few times since we have re-connected and chuckle about it now. Betty was a wonderful lady and I’m happy I had the opportunity to meet her. I would like to extend our sincerest condolences to the Bancroft and Hawkwood families.
