Obituary of Betty BANCROFT

May 18, 1921 – February 25, 2012 Betty passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the age of 90 years and went to join her best friend and husband Jack. Betty was a Life Member of the Eastern Star Zenith Chapter No. 85 in Cochrane. She is survived by her son Bill and Jude Bancroft; daughter Judy Sydenham and Bill Lawson; her beloved grandchildren, Jennifer and Jay Bruggencate, Guy and Megan Bancroft, Stephen Sydenham and Michelle Steinke, Michael Sydenham, and Laura Sydenham; and her great-grandchildren, Janna, Gerrit and Jacklyn Bruggencate, and Ella and Lily Bancroft. She is also survived by her sister Marg Chalack; sisters-in-law, Gertie Hawkwood, Leona Hawkwood, Aurica Hawkwood, Doreen Hawkwood and all the extended Hawkwood family. She is also survived by her brother-in-law Tim Bancroft. She was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Isabella Hawkwood; sister Agnes Ritchie; brothers, Tom, Miles, Jack, and Joe Hawkwood; and great-granddaughter Trina Bruggencate. There will be no funeral services held for Betty. Her family wishes you to remember her pouring a cup of tea and serving her famous scones.
