Sharon, Rochelle, Kim and Robyne. We are sorry to hear about Edwins passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. This is a difficult time, but remember he is with family and will “always be watching over you”
I worked for/with Ed for several years at Murphy Oil. Ed was a man you could like, admire, and respect….and I did.
I am sorry for your loss.
Dear Mrs Parrent.
It was a shock to me when you called about Ed’s passing. The saturday and sunday before his death we talked a lot about your solar house and his work. He was upbeat and looking forward to going home in a few days. Monday he he started to get tired. Tuesday he hardly ate anything and was drifting in and out of sleep. I left the hospital Tuesday evening and by that time he was in poor shape. He had a long bone scan and CT scan sessions and I thought He was just tired. I said good bye and he wished me good luck. Ed was a wonderful man and please accept our deepest sympathy.
I was very sad to read about the death of Ed. I first met him when I started work as a young geophysicist at Pacific. He was a terrific mentor and a tremondously intersting person to know. Later I was lucky enough to have Ed as my boss at Murphy for nearly ten years. He was one of the best bosses I ever had, and always knew he had by best interests at heart. I never thought of him as my boss, so much as my friend and colleague. Knowing him and working with hime made my life better.
The obituary is Ed to a “T”. For the 10 years of more that our paths in life crossed, he was ever happy and passionate about everything he did. And he really was The Gadget Guy! For example, he was the first person I knew to have a computer – a Commodore 64! :-)
Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
Love Neil
