Dear Joy and Family

Our deepest sympathy to you on the loss of a husband, father, grandather Al Trott. He was a man greatly admired by my father Jim Pattison. They shared an interest in Canadian politics. Working with Dr. Trott at the hospital for many years was an interesting time. He was always ready to come to help out with a troublesome problem, and every once in a while, a timing mishap would result in a missed delivery! We are very sad to learn that contrary to our beliefs and hopes, Uncle Alvin was not immortal. He had such an undying interest in life and such a quick intelligence, it is hard to accept that he is gone. Our sympathy to you and everyone fortunate enough to have known and loved him.

Dear Joy and family, Our condolences to you and the rest of your family. I first met Al in 1960 when I moved to Golden. He became our family doctor and helped with our first child Kevin when he got sick, usually at 2 a.m. Al came out at that time every time. We appreciated everything that Al did for our family. Kevin has followed in Al’s footsteps and is now a family physician in Courtenay, BC.

Dear Joy and family: Deb and I send heartfelt condolences for your loss of husband and father. We are sure that he will be greatly missed and we hold you in our prayers in sympathy during this time of grieving.

Love you all and we are thinking of you at this time of sadness. What a blessing that you were all with Al when he died. Both Joy and Al have been such a special part of my life for some 60 years. Dear, dear friends.

We were sorry to hear of Alvin’s death. We did enjoy getting to know Joy, Alvin, Ed & Eve, 2 years ago when we visited Alberta. Our thoughts are with your family at this time.
