Mary is known to my daughter Maeve as one of her Fairy Godmothers from Canada. Ann and Mary made Maeve’s christening gown from my wedding dress and a borrowed sewing machine from Wal-Mart. You can return anything there Mary and Ann Joked. Lots of fond memories from her trips to NC. You will truly be missed.
Sending our condolences and prayers to your Family.

I Once Walked With a Women
I once walked with a Women who was strong, patient and kind
She travelled life’s road to the fullest embracing all the twists and turns
Her sense of humor was contagious, as her Irish eyes laughed and sparkled
Sharing in the laughter, her knowing it was one of life’s best medicines
I once Walked with a Women who loved her family and friends deeply, completely
Her youthful spirit as fresh as her grandchildren who adored being by her side
Her family whom she touched deeply, the sound advice she gave, the truth she spoke
the honesty she bestowed, the rolling stone who planted roots of love into your soul.
I once walked with a Woman who was independent, courageous and wise
Her sound guidance, her keen sense of knowing, her openness to call it as it is
She never lost sight of whom she was and where she had come from
A free spirit that cherished her homeland, treasured the sounds of Celtic music, excited to explore new places, and enjoyed getting lost in a great novel.
I once walked with a Woman who must now return back home
Home where she will see her family, share her journey and smile upon us
Her eyes once more will be laughing and sparkling
I once walked with this woman – Mary, and I am a better person because of it.
I will miss you Mary.
Laura
