Obituary of Bertha Maxine ROLLINS
November 3, 1925 – February 1, 2012
Bertha, known to all as “Bert” passed away peacefully at Peter Lougheed Centre at the age of 86 years.
She was raised in New Westminster, BC with her seven brothers and sisters.
In 1947, she married Al and moved with him as his hockey career relocated the family to Toronto, Chicago, Calgary, and Spokane. Bert returned to the Vancouver area in 1969 where she earned her Canadian credit professional accreditation and had a successful career with Weldwood and Canwel as their credit manager until her retirement in 1991.
During retirement Bert moved to Calgary to be closer to family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Bert is survived by her children, Sue Macdonald (Chris) of Calgary, Jerry (Terrie) of San Diego, CA, David (Audrey) of Cochrane, AB; grandchildren, Cameron, Curtis and Jennifer Charlebois (Paul); and by sister Evelyn Brown of Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her husband former NHL goalie Al and six beloved siblings.
