So sorry Mira, Eva and Micheline, as you know I knew your father for quite a few years and even after my husband and I left Dartmouth and Frank retired and moved to Calgary, we kept in touch consistently over the years by email. We always looked forward to these emails since his jokes and puns kept us laughing and reminded us of great times. We will truly miss him, RIP Frankie my friend.

It has been few days since Frank said goodbye to this world and I still having hard time to even accept that he is no longer with us. I still cannot imagin that there is no chance anymore at all to see him smile or hear one of his funny stories I loved to listen to.
Befriended at one Legion event....we found out that we both served in a Air Force only on opposite sides. He was guarding the F-series in Germany and I was maintaining the MIGs on the other side of the Alps. We discovered that we both lived and served in the same area in Germany and could recall the places we both visited. I was always inpatient to wait for the week end looking forward to meet him at the Legion.
Became close friends and happily spend times with him and Mira...…almost daily Email exchanges became steady….we've learned so much from each other.....and I'm thankful to my life to give me a friend as Frank.
Unfortunately the Covid lock down at the hospital I never had a chance to visit him anymore and shake his hand for the last time. He has been a vivid hunter back East and as he would put it " he went to better hunting grounds "
Frank, old war buddy, I miss you and you'll be in my memory...…..always
Let me be one of many to extend my condolences to the POIRIER family.
I have known Frank and worked with him later in his Service.
Frank was one of the most straight forward and funny persons I ever had the pleasure to meet. Even after he retired we stayed in touch via emails.Very sorry to hear of his passing.
Deepest condolences to Frank's family. Frank and I were part of the December 1975 class of 14 new recruits. There were a couple older ones, Frank and Bob Kennedy, both with military service, and both with interesting views on life. If you could get them into a shift party with a libation to grease the wheels, God they could be funny. Dry humour. Nothing was sacred, especially work related things. I miss those times. Now both are gone. Bless you Frank. John Naugler DPD.

Very sad to know that Frank is gone. He was a great friend. We shared many good times both at work and at play. I have so many memories of days we spent with our buddies back in the woods at fishing and hunting camps. We all loved to hunt and fish but it was the time we all spent together that made all those trips special. Frankie was definitely the life of the party. The last few years we stayed in touch through e-mails and he would often send photos that he had taken years ago during our hunting expeditions. I know those trips were as special to him as they were to the rest of us. Our thoughts and prayers are with Frank and his loved ones. We will all miss him.
Mira, Bill and I loved spending time at the Kensington Legion with you and Frank. New years, Valentines Day, and weekend dancing. He was a great man, fun to be around, and we all loved you two. So sorry for your loss, thoughts and prayers go with you.

I was sad to hear of Frank's passing We joined the Dartmouth Police Department.on the same day back in 1975 and worked together on both platoon and later in the identification section. I will always remember his wisdom and good humor. Although I do remember he had a short fuse at times. One funny story explaining his temper happened one morning when we were answering an identification call requiring photographs and I noticed Frank was having problems getting the shutter to work on one of the old box cameras we were using. Well that fuse was short that day when out of frustration he threw the camera the full length of the identification van, bouncing it off the back door and exclaimed, " It doesn't work for sure now." I was horrified figuring we were both in big trouble, but I just had to laugh....low and behold within the next month the whole section received brand new 35 mm cameras thanks in part to Frank's bold move He was that sort of a guy, decisive to say the least. I will always remember Frank as a true and loyal friend. Sending my deepest condolences.
I was sorry to hear of Frank’s passing. We worked together on the Dartmouth Police then onward with the Youth Division during regionalization. He always kept me smiling and I loved hearing from after he retired.
He was a great supervisor and friend.
May you Rest In Peace and my condolences to his loved ones.

Frank, my deceased husband Bob and Jim Biggs were but a few of the Military Police who formed the 3 Wing group of soldiers in Germany from l966 onward. My husband Bob was different in every way from Frank in that Bob's uniform was never pressed correctly, Bob had troubles with taking orders while Frank was always impeccable in his clothing and comportment. I have known him for over 50 years and I am devastated to hear that he passed last Thursday. I don't think he will know how many people thought highly of him, how many friends he is leaving behind, and how many life experiences he shared and left an indelible mark on all of us. He was always full of good humour behind which he shared profound wisdom. I am so very sorry for your loss!

I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing and my condolences to his Family. Frank and I were both Air Force Policeman and I had met him when he was station in Shearwater and I was in Halifax. I joined Dartmouth City Police in 1974 and Frank joined just after me. I always enjoyed working with Frank who had a great sense of humor. I remember he had sold me his canoe, motor, a fly rod and a Hardy St John Fly Reel. I still have and use the motor and the hardy Fly Reel is now being used by my Grandson. Frank, thank you for your laughs and great memories over the years.

Frank and I joined the DCP and were in the same class. He was like our older brother who had already lived through things we getting ready to experience.
Great communication skills, good wit, well liked and true professional. I remember his girls fondly as young children, cute as a button who used to come into the station all dressed up, Frank so proud of them.
Mila, I never had the privilege of meeting you but thankful you made Frank happy in life.
We shared lots of hours working together and partying together on old D Platoon shift, it was a family.
Rest In Peace my old friend.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.

So sorry to hear of Frank's passing. He was a wonderful person and a great person to work with at Dartmouth Police. We shared many great outings such as playing pool and drives in his red Ford Mustang. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Frank was a great partner and true friend. We had some great memories from working the 'wagon' and after 4-12 shift parties. Heart felt condolences from Dave & Christine Myers
Heartfelt condolences to family and friends at this sad time. I had the pleasure of knowing Frank as a fellow officer with Dartmouth City Police. So sorry for your loss.
My condolences to Frank's family. I met Frank on a media relations course at the Canadian Police College in Ottawa in January, 1992. I was with the Halifax Police and Frank with the Dartmouth Police. We had to get in front of the class and introduce ourselves. Frank got up and had us all laughing so hard with his wit and sense of humor! Nobody wanted to get up and follow him after his self introduction. He made it a fun two weeks for everyone and had great insights into dealing with the media. Great sense of humor and all around good guy. Ran into him many times after the amalgamation of our police departments in 1996 and he always managed to make me laugh and put things in a unique perspective. May he rest in peace.

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Frank, I worked with Frank in Nova Scotia as a police officer and always respected him. I enjoyed his wit and guidance when I was a young police officer.
My condolences to his family.

Very sad to hear of Frank's passing ... He was an amazing man and a great Police Officer. I always smile when I think of Frank, he had the best sense of humor. Godspeed
Frank was one of the nicest guys I ever met. I worked with him in youth division as a secretary then went on to become a Dartmouth police officer and presently retired from Halifax regional police. I remember one of franks favorite sayings was breakfast of champions referring to vodka and orange. Rest In Peace frank. My condolences to his family signed Linda Todd
I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. He was a good man and a great friend to all of us at 264 Legion. Bill and I spent a lot of good times with Mira and Frank at the Kensington Legion, New Years Eve, Valentines Day, and Friday or Saturday nights at the regular dances at the Legion. He will be missed. The funny emails I received, stories and updates on what Frank and Mira were doing.
My deepest sympathies to Mira and all of Frank's family.
Sincerely,
Gloria Spielman
Frank was a great partner and a wise man. He taught me a lot when he was my partner. He taught me just as much after he left the department. I am sorry I didn't get a chance to see him again. I will really miss getting emails from him.
