My dad and Jack’s adoptive mom were siblings. This photo of our families was taken in Saskatoon in the early 1960s. Due to distance, we didn’t see each other much over the decades, and I was glad to reconnect with him about ten years ago. Whenever we spoke, I always felt that friendly smile and sense of humour come through.
