As an extremely shy young child Uncle Wayne had a way of talking directly to me that made me feel both comfortable and heard. He was interested in who I was and never missed an opportunity to have some fun with my siblings and myself. We often talk about a car ride where he pointed at a highrise under construction and told us it was where the hippies lived (this was the 1970's). I still repeat that phrase every time I see a highrise under construction even though we always knew he was kidding. He also taught me that if you are speeding while driving, be in front of the other speeders. When the police respond, it will be easier for them to catch the last car. So much wisdom. So much love.
