Obituary of Richard Van Wieren

December 24, 1960 - Montreal, Quebec

June 17, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Richard Van Wieren beloved husband of Sherry Van Wieren (nee Hedge) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at the age of 62 years.

Richard was born in Montreal, QC, on December 24, 1960. His father’s work took his family to many places across Canada, but for the past 46 years, Calgary, AB, has been his home. Richard graduated from Lakehead University with a Civil Engineering degree and worked in multiple disciplines of engineering until his retirement in March 2021.

Richard met his wife, Sherry, in November of 2000, and they were married in November 2002. They had two wonderful boys, Nickolas, and Patrick.  He enjoyed skiing, golfing, and holidays at the lake with his family.

Richard will be forever missed by his loved ones, and friends.
