Richard was a great friend and we miss him dearly. We will always remember his mile wide smile and signature chuckle. Over the past 30 years or so we shared many fond memories with Richard including the many Halloween and Black and White parties he hosted at his Bridgeland home. Who could forget the house wrecking party where we were there with zip saws and crowbars tearing down the lathe and plaster and creating clouds of dust while we gutted the place prior to his major renovation project. Fortunately it took a while for the renos to come together so the skeletal remains of that old house became the perfect party venue for the next few years! One of our most memorable moments with Richard was when we were lying on a dock at a lake in Northern AB staring at the stars in the silence, when Richard suddenly blurted out "do you wonder if we're really here". As we all burst into fits of hysterical laughter at Richard's odd profound question we couldn't summon the strength to come up with a plausible answer. We told that story often and teased Richard about it for the next 30 years. Well Richard you probably now have the answer to that thought provoking question you posited so many years ago. One day we will see you again at a Stampede Party in the sky. We were fortunate to have known you and call you our good friend. We will cherish the many fond memories of our times together.
